GADN is pleased to share our database of feminists working on macroeconomic issues. This initiative is part of our Feminist Reframing of Macro-level Economics (REFRAME) project, which explores how current macroeconomic policies undermine gender equality. As part of our work, we want to identify potential allies from around the world, and then share this information with others who may find it useful in establishing new alliances.
What will you find in this database?
The database features organisations and staff and consultants working on core themes:
Care
Decent work
Raising resources: tax, trade and debt
Government spending: austerity, public services, social protection
Corporate accountability
Under each organisation, you will find basic information about staff or affiliates whose work aligns with these issues – including their advocacy and policy focus, country and region, affiliations, email (if publicly available on the web) and publications and resources.
This database sits alongside work by colleagues at NAWI - Afrifem Macroeconomics Collective, to build a directory of Pan-African feminists working on these issues, which you can find here. We have therefore initially focused on other regions in our database.
We aim to expand and update the database over time. Please continue to refer back here as we undertake regular updates to ensure that the information on the database is as accurate as possible.
To build this database, we have only used publicly available information. However, we do apologise if we have added something inaccurate about you or your organisation. If you have any feedback for us, please let us know at comms@gadnetwork.org so we can correct it.
Alongside the list of organisations, staff and affiliates is a data table containing the same information and filter information based on country, region, affiliation and advocacy and policy focus.
