Ensures the UK sector’s response on sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment is rooted in an understanding of gender inequalities.

The Preventing Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH) Working Group was formed after revelations in February 2018 of abuse across the sector.  It aims to support GADN members in ensuring their response is robust and based in a gendered power analysis, and to then use these learnings to influence the wider sector.

The PSEAH Working Group:

  • Provides a platform for learning and sharing best practice on safeguarding.

  • Coordinates input to DFID and other key decision makers’ initiatives and consultations on safeguarding, including via Bond.

  • Promotes feminist analysis of sexual harassment, abuse and exploitation across the sector, ensuring that womens’ voices from the global south are heard.

Please note that the group is currently paused.
