Response to the FCDO’s International Women and Girls Strategy

Response: On 8 March 2023, the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) released its much-anticipated International Women and Girls Strategy. 

GADN welcomes the new commitment to combatting rollback and recognising the importance of women’s rights organisations and movements. However, concerns remain over the framing of the Strategy and it combining important priority areas all under what are termed the ‘3Es’.   Details are still needed as to how the Strategy will be resourced and implemented, and the extent to which it will be mainstreamed across Whitehall.
